Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe was raised in a mixed ethnic family. Her father and mother were both English. Her family was raised in an estate in South London council estate, as a teenager, she fourteen, she attended The Brit School. She graduated with a BA in acting from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She appeared on stage in many productions while attending school including King Henry V, as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started acting in Storm Damage. Since then, Madekwe has appeared in Teachers and Doctors. Madekwe's debut film appearance was Woody Allen's 2007 film Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. Following that success her role was Elisha in the one-off BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN which aired in 2007 and she also appeared in six episodes of Trexx as well as Flipside as Ollie. The year 2008 saw her had the opportunity to play the role of Bambi on the ITV2 drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl which aired in series two and three. Madekwe starred as the lead character in How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others. The comedy released in the year 2008. She also appeared as a character in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path written by David Watson.
Madekwe debuted in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama program ran in the US on The CW for only two episodes before being cancelled. In February 2011, she was cast as Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. In May of 2013, it was revealed that Madekwe, who had appeared on the show as a series regular for the past two seasons, was to leave the series after a guest-appearance in the premier episode of the season's new episode. From 2014 until 2016she appeared in Salem as Tituba. Madekwe and her partner for many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were wed in June of 2012. Apart from Secret Diary of a Call Girl They have also collaborated with each other on Salem and also he played a part alongside her in that TV show.

Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into an extended family of. Her parents Roy and Patty, as well as her brothers Brett, Todd, and Bram, were all present. Ashley's athletic brothers were avid baseball players during the summer months and hockey in the winter. Ashley was never a walker, she did dance, so at the age of two and a half she started Baby Ballet -and she fell in love with. This was the beginning of Ashley's passion for dance. Ashley competed in ballet, jazz and tap in high divisions. She was crowned the top individualist in all the most prestigious dance competitions like, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance to name a few.
