Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actor who is best recognized for her role as House in Fox's the medical thriller House. In a strictly Jewish upbringing she was able to move from Wayne to New York City when she was just 18 years old to go to the Tisch School of Arts. The school quickly became a fixture in the scene of clubs in New York. The performances she gave were so good that even local media took notice. In the end, she utilized her education along with her fame and training to compose and write an original musical entitled Positive Me and was also in it. Awake on the Wild Side was her next assignment. Once Awake on the Wild Side stopped being aired, she began to act in films as well as on TV, starting with small role. In time, her experience in acting increased.
