Jacqueline Fernandez

Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan actor and model who is active primarily in Indian film. She is also the winner of the 2006 Miss Sri Lanka Universe pageant. Fernandez was born into a family with Canadian, Sri Lankan and Malaysian ancestry. She lived her first childhood in Bahrain. She earned a bachelor's degree in mass communication from the University of Sydney and worked as a reporter for a television station in Sri Lanka for a considerable period before venturing into the modeling industry. In 2006 she took on the role of Sri Lanka's Miss Universe and became one of the models with the highest popularity in Sri Lanka. While on a professional tour through India in 2009, Jasmine was cast in the role Aladin to Sujoy Ghosh. It was in 2011 as she was the lead female in Murder 2. The career of Fernandez exploded following the film was a commercial and critical success. In the following years, she's played in movies such as Housefull 2 & 3, "Race 2", "Definition Of Fear" and Judwaa 2. Additionally, she has been an ambassador for several international brands. A leader in the local community, she is a supporter of several charitable and non-profit organizations.
