DMX

Earl Simmons (December 18, 1970 from December 18, 1970 until April 9, 2021) who was professionally known as DMX, was an American rapper and actor. His debut album , It's Dark and hell is hot launched in 1998. He began rapping during the 1990s. 251,000 copies were sold within its first week. In 1999, DMX released... and then There Was X. It featured the hit song "Party up (Up in Here). His 2003 singles, "Where is the Hood At?" and "X Going to Give It To Ya" were also commercially successful. The artist was the first to have an album debut at No.1 five times in a row on the Billboard 200 charts. Seven times DMX has sold over 74,000,000 records around the world. 8 DMX was featured in films such as Belly, Romeo Must Die, Exit Wounds, Cradle 2 the Grave and Last Hour. He was a part of the reality TV series DMX. Soul of a Man. It was broadcast by the BET cable television channel Never Die Alone. In 2003, he wrote an autobiography entitled E.A.R.L. : The Autobiography of DMX. 9. DMX began his journey in the world of music at 14 as a beatboxer for Ready Ron. After being imprisoned for taking a dog it was then that he began writing his own lyrics and performing at the local recreation center, which was for younger youngsters. In prison for carjacking it was his favorite time to spend his time writing lyrics. He also started rapping with K.Solo. 3] After he was released in the summer after which he started producing and selling mixtapes of his own in which he rapped over the music from other songs. He also sold them on street corners, which helped him build a fan base locally all over New York. Percee P as well as DMX both performed freestyles for The Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show 1991. The style was similar to Big Daddy Kane's style and Rakim's, but it was distinct from his later material. [16] In the year 1991, Columbia Records signed DMX as a subsidiary label to Ruffhouse Records. The single, "Born Loser", was his first single. "17" His second single, "Make A Move" was released in 1994. Jay-Z, Ja Rule and Mic Geronimo performed a joint appearance on "Time to build", the iconic underground track.
